Tamunodiepiriye Abednego holds a BSc in Microbiology and Post graduate diploma in Education from the Rivers State University of Science & Technology, and MBA in Management from the University of Port Harcourt.
She was certified as an Associate of the prestigious Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria and also awarded a Professional diploma in Human Resource Management in 2011. She is a licensed Human Resource practitioner, an active member of the Institute especially at the Rivers State branch where she currently serve as the Head of Membership Committee appointed in March 2015.
She worked in Prowa Nursery and Primary School as the School Head Teacher between September 1999 and December 2004. She passionately administered the school and achieved milestones in the academics and extra-curricular activities which brought the school to lime light in Port Harcourt town. She worked in the capacity of an adhoc Electoral Officer in the Rivers State Independent electoral Commission between February and November, 2008, successfully championed local government chairmanship and councillorship elections in Emohua, Ahoada East, Andoni and Degema local Government areas.
Her working career in the Rivers State Microfinance Agency started in February 2009, employed as an Officer in the Human Resources department and that triggered her career choice and pursuit in the Human Resources profession. She was appointed the Acting Head of Human Resources department in July 2010 and eventually made the substantive Head of Human Resources/Development department in May 2011, and has made enormous value additions to the Agency.
She is an alumnus of the School of African Microfinance, Kenya the apex African Microfinance Institution. Other notable professional trainings undertaken within and outside Nigeria include the Practical HR Manager from OML Africa-Human Resource Experts4africa in Ghana; Nigeria Labour Law: Challenges for the HR Manager and the HR Business Partner from the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria.
She is a devout Christian of the Anglican Communion and in Women for Christ International a non denominational Women Ministry as the National Secretary.
