Governor Wike Flags Off N2 Billion MSME Fund


Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has assured the less privileged that his administration will take concrete steps to empower them through micro-credit schemes that will grow small and medium scale businesses across the state. Flagging off the N2billion Rivers State Micro,Small, and Medium Scale Entreprises Development Fund in Port Harcourt on Saturday, Governor Wike said the programme which is being funded through a facility from the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, will assist small businesses have access to capital so that they can develop faster.

RIMA Floats New Microfinance Bank


Rivers State Microfinance Agency (RIMA) has been granted a license by the Central Bank of Nigeria to float a new Microfinance Bank. The goal of this new bank, Rima Growth Pathway Microfinance Bank, is for the bank to operate across the 23 Local Government Areas of the state in addition to Port Harcourt.
